Finally after probably close to 2 months in the review process Photo+Map 1.3 has been approved by the AppStore. For various reasons this update had problem to go through the App Review process, but the latest binary I submitted was approved ! Please check the Photo+Map product page to see the full set of features.
Version 1.3 is adding a new feature which I am hoping will be well received by many existing users :
Photo+Map 1.3 let you now extract the meta-data containing the EXIF information in your recent photos. It means that Photo+Map can retrieve the GPS location -when available obviously- from your camera roll and thus Photo+Map will be able to get the corresponding map(s) on the final picture.
Extracting the EXIF meta information was more tricky than expected but after playing with different solution, the app has been working without problem on my iPhones and a few beta testers.
The other new feature is the ability to copy the final photo+map, so you can paste it to any other iPhone application. Prior version had the ability to email the photo but I believe offering a simple way to share with other application is important too.
The app is now available in the AppStore so go get it from iTunes now. And yes the Lite version is available too in iTunes with some limitation as you can guess.
Below you can view two screenshots showing the final photo+map (4 maps) and the screenshot showing the Camera Roll with some EXIF information. You can find more screenshots in the photo gallery.
